bigbooklittlebookcardboardbox was born in 2010, to proud mum Frances. Obsessed with books, her 'real' baby (now a preschooler) used to spend his days pulling out every single book from the family's conventional bookcase in his search for the perfect tale. It was the realisation that her son needed to see the book covers that led to the search for a product that would allow him to independently select the stories he wanted her to read, while she put her feet up with a cup of tea and a jammy dodger.

When it became clear there was nothing like this available, bigbooklittlebookcardboardbox was conceived, and Frances set about designing, sourcing and marketing her children’s book storage box.

Frances is now a full-time mum to bigbooklittlebookcardboardbox and her little boy and runs the business from her home in Burley-in-Wharfedale, Yorkshire. Her son helps assemble the boxes and stick on the address labels, and says he will take over the business once he’s tall enough to reach the Post Office counter.
